The Bakery
Salamanca District, Madrid
Located on the ground floor of a historic building, this former bakery has been transformed into a thoughtfully designed loft that blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Original architectural elements, such as steel rods, stone walls and high ceilings, have been preserved and paired with contemporary design to create a unique and inviting space.
The Bakery primarily functions as an exhibition space, hosting presentations, installations, and project-based work. It is occasionally available to artists as a platform to share their work publicly, with proposals reviewed through Mœurs’ selection process. Visit moeurs.org for more information or contact us to check availability.
In addition to serving as an exhibition space, The Bakery is a versatile mixed-use venue that can also accommodate short-term stays, featuring a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom for flexible use.

The Bakery for Short Stays
In addition to serving as an exhibition space, The Bakery features an open-plan layout with a fully equipped kitchen, a bright living area, a cozy bedroom, and a loft-style second bedroom, combining comfort and functionality. Guests can also relax on the suspended mesh floor, which overlooks the space below and a tree-lined window.
